I have been seeing a "Classmates" Ad that has the name of MY city... dose this mean I have spyware?

I just scaned my PC, deleted all the temporary internet files and cookies and I still get the ad!

The only website I go to that I put in my actual zipcode is Amazon.com.

How else would the website know where I live if it's not spyware?

The Ad is an internet based ad. A computer/person can easily get your demographics (city, state) by using your IP address and seeing which ISP (internet service provider) issued it and where they issued it to. Your information is not in danger...neither are you.
Reply:classmates .com it has all schools where people went to school and their classmates
Reply:I'm not sure if this is the answer, but perhaps it's using your IP address to find out your location.
Reply:You have no spyware...Classmates is a site where you can find anyone who went to your school (for any year)...it costs a few bucks or you can use some of it for free...
Reply:Your IP's address. There is no spyware or something like that. You can surf the internet anonymous. You can do some research on how to surf anonymous. It will not give out your ip's address
Reply:Probably just using you IPaddress
