Tattoos are pretty at first. I know I have 2 small ones. As time goes along they start to fade and the pictures become distorted and they are ugly.

Before you get one take a look at someone that has had one for a long time and see what it looks like.

I wish I would have done that. I would not have gotten it no matter how much my friends had encouraged me to..

Today I believe that a GOOD friend would not encourage one to mark up their body with anything..even though it is the popular thing to do.
Reply:it is a satanic symbol........do not get one on yourself.....
Reply:I thought Baphomet was a sabbatic goat...

I have tattoos..I would recommend knowing what things mean before permenantly etching them into your skin.

I have a 4 inch pentacle on my forearm. Wanna get one?
Reply:It is derived from the Knights Templar. Do more research before you do something you'll regret.
Reply:star or no star , having tattoos on your lower back is a w'''e stamp.
Reply:It is a symbol of the church of satan

Reply:just because it looks nice, doesnt mean it is nice. It sounds very much like an occult symbol. It is a part of the "Knights Templars", something like an satanic angel.

I found it also on that link: www.templarhistory.com
Reply:Google it..and dont fall for peer pressure remember to use sterilyzed needles if your gonna get one (which I dont reccomend but who listens)
Reply:The baphomet is a Satanic religious symbol. I would not encourage you to get one if you are not a Satanist, just as I would not encourage a non-Christian to get a crucifix tattoo.
Reply:I would be interested in seeing a picture of the star they are talking about. Perhaps it's an adaptation that they chose more for its design than for any religious symbolism.

But yes, Baphomet does have religious/occult meaning under normal circumstances:

It was around *before* the Church of Satan began, but has been picked up and used by that Church as one of its symbols.

That doesn't necessarily mean your friends are using it to represent Satan or the Church of Satan. You'd have to ask them what it means to them.
Reply:It is a ritualistic symbol for the Knights Templar, that was **** on and slandered by the Papacy when they were persecuted.
