My classmates....what should I do?

I go to a school where there are only about 40ppl in each grade....and there are about 20 boys in our class...which makes it hard to find ur clique


the group i am friendly with are total geeks...whenever they get together...they ONLY talk about "Call of Duty 4" or "Halo 3"


games may be fun once in a while....but how about talking about it ALL the time?


They are great individuals....just that when they get together the topic ALWAYS becomes the above


There is also a Korean guys group...but they always speak in Korean which I dont understand


The final clique are guys that always play basketball...which is one of my least favorite sports


I am a music guy and play sports little bit and play games once in a while....what am i supposed to do?!

Encourage your friends to talk about something else. Start conversations that are about things you want to talk about. Tell them that you are sick to death of talking about Halo 3.


You can also ask if any of them want to play a game of basket ball, chances are that someone will.





You could maybe talk to one of the Korean guys one on one in English, maybe he wants to play basket ball too or talk about music.
Reply:You should try and start ur own little group! Go to music groups, talk to people there that have the same interests as you. It is better to find a group of people that make you happy, that you can be yourself around , instead of trying to be someone that you arent.


Or if you want to stay with the people you are with now, throw in a few different topics that you would all enjoy talking about.

Reply:Mate welcome to my world. I am in the exact situation, its always halo 3 and call of duty 4, i mean c'mon give me a break. I find it hard to mix with people at my school even though there are like1500 kids there but most of them are either jocks, geeks, emos or the bmx gang. i find that if i fit in with geeks even though i am not one myself and they are all great peopl and the only alternative is hanging with people u dont like, id rather stay with the geeks because thats were i fit in. i hope i helped you.

Reply:look for new influences, are there any girls you could get talking to, join different clubs for stuff you would enjoy doing, you may find new friends where they can change the subject of conversation, life has to grow up, its not all about games, and i think you sound like you are starting to grow up and want a more meaningful conversation with people go for it good luck. x
